The Nutcracker

Last week Max came home and said “Mom, we saw the coolest thing ever in music class today! It was called The Nutcracker. There were no words – just music and dancing.” And then he starts leaping and twirling through the kitchen. He goes on to tell me about this “really famous Russian guy who could jump like 7 ft. in the air!” Those guys are amazing athletes, I responded. “Yeah, said Max. I think I’d like to do that too... but I’m not sure about the tights.”

This is Max's response to the dinner I made for him the other night:

While patting my back very gently, he says "Mom, it's not that your cooking is bad, it's just... it's just that my taste buds haven't developed for that stuff yet."

With skills like that, he's gonna be president some day!
