The Ice Queen

We had an ice storm the other day. It was beautiful - everything covered in ice. Driving home the sun was shining and everything looked like it was made out of glass. It was so brilliant I have never seen anything quite like it. When I got home (the boys had the day off of school) I made them get in the car with me to go for a ride. I couldn't let the moment pass without sharing it with them. They were thrilled, I am sure, but I made them go none-the-less.

Today, Max said that if I wanted to see the sparkly ice again, all I had to do was watch him play StarWars Battlefront (apparently there is a winter scene.) He said: it's really beautiful and sparkly, just like you like it, mom. I mean, people are getting shot and killed and stuff, but you can just look at the sparkly stuff if you want. So, you want to do that with me after school today?
